The problem

Turn a 400k+ audience across YouTube and partner channels into paid subscribers on a wellness-focused platform built around audio + video streaming, long-form story content, and a subscription-gated library.

My approach

I engineered the whole stack — Next.js 15 / React 19 frontend, Fastify-on-AWS-Lambda backend in TypeScript, PostgreSQL with Prisma, multi-environment infra deployed via AWS SAM. Cognito + Amplify handle auth; Stripe Checkout + webhook reconciliation gate content via a subscription-status endpoint. HLS video, a custom audio player with persistent mini-player, embedded YouTube live streams. Production hygiene throughout.

Multi-environment infrastructure (dev / staging / prod) deployed via AWS SAM

AWS Cognito + Amplify for auth (sign-up, confirmation, password reset, JWT-protected APIs via aws-jwt-verify)

Stripe Checkout + webhook-driven Subscription/Payment reconciliation; subscription-status endpoint gates content access

HLS video streaming (hls.js) + custom audio player (react-h5-audio-player) with persistent mini-player

YouTube live-stream embedding

Long-form JSON-block story engine with inline or S3-offloaded payloads, likes/saves/tags

Personalization features: favorites, listen history, user tags, engagement analytics on Recharts

Production hygiene: Helmet, rate limiting, Pino logging, Zod validation, Cognito JWKS verification, per-env CloudFormation parameters with NoEcho for secrets
